Yum in my tum

Sorry for being so boring lately. I haven't really been in the mood for editing my Freycinet videos from Tasmania yet, so in the meantime, here are some photos from my iPhone (which is currently being updated with iOS5!) Most of the photos are edited using the iDarkroom app. I realise now that I have my phone, I rarely use my Canon compact camera. Using my phone is so convenient, the photo quality isn't too bad, and you can edit them on the spot!

For some reason all the recent photos I've taken have to do with food. Here's the grilled portobello mushroom salad from the western stall at our NUS Science canteen. The western stall recently changed vendors, and the food is really good and value for money. Look at the huge chunks of mushroom! It was only about $4 if I'm not wrong. Their mango chicken salad is awesome too, and of course they have mains like chicken, fish, steak, pasta etc. Their soup of the days are pretty solid as well, and usually only $1! But their food is so well appreciated that the queue during lunch hour is always so long, so we don't have it that often anymore due to our pathetic 1 hour lunch breaks :(

Speaking of school and food, we recently had our Line Dinner at a Korean BBQ place at Novena. I can't remember if I've talked about the "line" thing we have in dentistry, but I'm too lazy to go into it here.

And speaking of Novena (lol everything seems linked today), my church friend and I were at Kenny Rogers at Velocity last Saturday. I haven't had it in ages and I had never been to the Novena one before.

Here's my corn muffin on a happy yellow background. Love the corn muffins - always have one whenever I go.

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the deco was. Very modern and clean looking, and Gwen was really pleased because she was looking for ideas for her new house.

Yellow quilted sofa backing and red & yellow cushions.

That same day, since I was at Novena, I paid another visit to Twelve Cupcakes, owned by Jamie Teo and Daniel Ong. I first went there on my 21st birthday. They've since opened a second outlet at Millenia Walk.

Red Velvet and Peanut Butter. Super duper yums.

My poor red velvet got melted because it was scorching hot that day :(

On Sunday night, a few of us from class went to Brotzeit at 313 to celebrate Young's birthday. Ordered 2 of these huge platters for the 10 of us to share (each comes with 2 sides). Couldn't finish!

And, Michelle made these AMAZING cupcakes for Young. Love the colourful happy fondant :)

She spent really long on them (worked since 8am!) and they were super delicious. We were all very impressed.

Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Rose Lychee, Oreo, Peanut Butter (with Reese's!) and Matcha Green Tea. My favourite was the Peanut Butter followed by the Rose one :)

Nat and I. Not very clear in the photo but we were kinda red. She had 1 beer and I had half.

Half was all I could drink because my tolerance is very low. I'll start feeling the alcohol's effects - getting warm and red, head feeling woozy, hearing my heartbeat in my head, etc. If I drink a little too much than that, I'll puke, which has happened twice so far - definitely don't want a repeat of that.

Other than that, my life hasn't been that interesting lately. School is busy as usual, and oh, I received food from a patient for the first time! So touched :)
