On Friday, Wallace went fishing in the morning with 2 other friends, and came back with 4 Silver Perch! And they were quite big and fat too! In total they caught 13 Silver Perch. :)
So after he came back, we went to his friend's house for lunch, where he cooked the fish for all of us! His house was pretty nice, although it's quite messy cos it's shared by like, 8 people.

We had to wait quite long for the food to be ready, but it was worth it. He deep fried the whole fish (actually he deep fried 3 whole fish) and then topped it off with fried ginger and sweet sauce. It was REALLY good. The fish were so fresh! Plus, we had rice too! First time eating home cooked rice since I came here. I had seconds. Haha. Too bad I didn't take a picture of the food though! I was too hungry to remember.
After lunch, Wallace scaled and gutted his 4 fish.
It looks like 3 in the Eski, but there's another one beneath.

Dirty business

You can also go up to the counter and collect food if you're too impatient to wait for the trolleys. Haha.

This was our first round. The 2 deep fried things in the middle had prawn filling, and the prawn fillings were SO MUCH! I think they squeeze like, 4 whole prawns worth of filling inside. Never see like that in Singapore one. And the Har Gao also had so much filling unlike in Singapore.

After Round 1, we also had stuff like Siew Mai, Porridge, Egg tarts, Chee Cheong Fun etc.
Egg tarts! The egg tarts here are very very good. The crust is light and crispy and the custard is smooth and not too sweet.

Overall, the dim sum at Landmark isn't the best, but it definitely satisfied my dim sum craving. We ate until we were SO full, especially Wallace. He ate a whole plate of chicken feet by himself!
After that, we headed over to Ikea cos Eileen needed to buy some stuff for her new house. The Ikea there is 2 times bigger than the Singapore one! But Wallace says the restaurant food isn't very nice, Singapore's Ikea restaurant food is much better. The hot dogs are $1, and $2 if you add a drink (which is normally $1.75 on its own). But the sausages aren't as nice as the ones in Singapore. They not as tasty and are softer. But the ice cream is 50 cents! And, you get your own ice cream from the automated machine! You pay for the cone at the counter, then you go to the machine, put the cone in, and press the button! Then your ice cream will be dispensed into the cone. Haha! I didn't try it though. The cone is the kind with lots of air inside, not the dense crispy type.
Anyway, Eileen bought a sofa bed and a floor lamp (among other things) and we had to squeeze it into the Supra! The mattress had to spill into the back seat, so she had to lie down on her side. Poor thing! She said it was like lying in the boot. Lol.

Anyway, it was a fun weekend! We went to Pastor Ben's house for steamboat in the evening! Photos coming soon.

(Yes that long slimy thing chopped in half)

Wallace and I went to watch Year One at night (the comedy starring Jack Black) and I think it was quite stupid. Totally not worth watching. Wallace thought it was quite funny though. Lol.

On Saturday morning, me, Wallace and Eileen went for DIM SUM at Landmark Restaurant at Sunny Bank Plaza. Luckily we went there early 'cos it's ALWAYS packed, and if you go late you can wait up till 1 and a half hours to get a seat. The restaurant was quite big, and it was full of chatter and felt so 'busy'. For once, I appreciated all the noise around us. It felt very homey. :)
This dim sum restaurant is the kind with the trolleys! I love it!

Tomorrow Wallace and I are going for our ROAD TRIP to NOOSA! It's up north, about twice the distance from here to Goldcoast. We'll be there from Tuesday to Saturday. I can't wait! Hopefully there'll be internet so I can come online :)
