day 2 of school today. i miss the hols. :( i really do. although it's good to get back on my feet again and return to the "normal" life, getting busy and down to work, school just gets me really stressed up and frustrated sometimes. it's like, you get all sian and feel so tired and stuff.. sigh. already school is beginning to feel like a bore. but i guess i could say that at least i feel good sometimes after i finish all my work and stuff. hmm but oh wells..
i wish i could change my CCA. but i can't. i have to stick with the same old boring one for 4 whole years. what was wrong with me when i was choosing CCAs?? i know, mg guides are very slack and stuff.. and it's like, so b.o.r.i.n.g. i dread wednesdays because of it. AH the torture!! why doesn't mg have any badminton???
i'm sitting at the back of the class now. yes. last row. i usually sit somewhere in front. i can see better! (ok yes i know, i'm short >.<) but mrs low says she's gonna re-arrange us on friday. ah i don't wanna move!! >.<
i'm getting fat. yes i am. i've been stuffing myself with junk for the past month or so. alot of chocolate especially. man what is wrong with me. i don't wanna get addicted to chocolate!! haha okok i'm not. but at least now it isn't that bad. now it's durians! yes durians. 2 weeks ago my mum discovered this good durian shop in Bukit Batok. and since her favourite fruit is the King of all fruits, you can guess what happened next. and so for the past few days, i've been eating durians everyday. my goodness. i'm gonna get sick if this doesn't stop. and can u believe i still have some dorito chips, koala biscuits and ice cream still stashed in storage ready for me to eat??
oh wells. AH! 10:10 and i haven't bathed. -.- oh dear and still gotta pack my bag for tmr. oh no! guide u! arghhh...

a more productive day
yep, i think today was a more productive day for me. although i woke up at 12:30 and lazed around reading the newspaper (Life! and Urban <3),>all of the Emaths TYS questions! yay!! (but they were quite easy la :P) i feel better now.. hmm but i think some of the answers in the TYS are wrong though. for one of the questions i couldn't get the "correct" answer so i asked my dad and he checked for me and therefore concluded that my answers were right and the book's answers were wrong! *gleams triumphantly*
so, that was probably my day so far. haha, boring, i know.. oh yes! i forgot to mention - my dad came home yesterday!!! haha clad with lots of wrigley's chewing gum (shhh! but for personal consumption only :D) no presents for us this time though.. :( haha but still, just glad that he's back home.
ooh! 7 o'clock show's started!! going to watch now!! byes!!

homework, haircuts and ... porcelain painting?
i've been trying to cram up on homework this week. well what am i talking about - of course i have to! school reopens next week for goodness sake! my goodness - i can't believe the holidays have passed so fast! wow, 1 whole month - it just whizzed by like no one's business. but actually thinking back on it, the holidays were somewhat more stressful than normal school days.. what with Ichthus 3 and all the Saltshakers stuff.
well, so far, i've done 2 out of 4 zhou jis, read half of the chinese book, half of Amaths, half of Physics and none of Emaths. oh wells, good luck to me..
had my hair "chopped off" today. haha. nah, just went for a haircut. it feels so short now! oh wells, now at least i don't have to tie a second rubber band to school now. whoo the lady was FAST man. snip snip here, snip snip there - and she was done in less than 20 minutes. O.o
i painted a plate last night!! haha so fun! it goes like this: my mum bought these porcelain plates/bowls/cups/tiles from Spotlight and the porcelain paints.. so we can paint on the stuff and then when we bake them in the oven for awhile, it'll be permanant and usable! i painted a cup last time.. last year if i'm not wrong.. i LOVE my plate!! i baked it in the oven this afternoon so now i can actually use it! yipee! :D :D :D (but haven't had a chance to do so so far)
today's been rather unproductive.. ahhh i always feel so wrong inside whenever i get unproductive.. ok, gonna read more of the chinese book now. God Bless!
by the way, the Ichthus 3 recordings are GREAT!! :D

ichthus + ichthus debrief
i know it's late but i just feel like posting.. somehow..
yesterday(ok well 2 days ago since it's alrd "monday")= saturday=ichthus 3!
went to church at around 1+, and then i entered into another of my "paradises" - the grand piano in the sanctuary! (ok not literally entered into.. i went to play on it) yes and i don't know how long i sat there, but i just played and played till my heart's content. really, i was so.. how do i explain it.. well, it felt like, there and then, i didn't want to do anything else but play.. i could just sit there and play for like, the whole day and i would be happy. seriously. i don't know if you know what i mean, but.. it's just that.. wow the sound that you can make on the grand piano - to me, it's priceless. yea, that's how i can explain how it felt - priceless. so i played a few songs for a good god-knows-how-long.. (i think maybe more than.. 15 minutes?) and then i started to play the song that i wrote - I Want To Be. and as i was playing i was singing along.. and, when the song was finally over.. i don't know.. but i just felt peace. peace and calmness all of a sudden. and it's like, it's just me, and me alone in the big dark sanctuary - with God.. so i just sat there on the piano bench in the dark.. with my arm leaning on the piano and my head resting on my arm.. and i was just, bowing my head.. and i just started to pray.. i was thinking about my song, the lyrics and all that.. and i just sat there.. for quite long actually.. maybe a minute.. just enjoying the silence. (actually there wasn't much silence cos the sanctuary door was open and those outside were making a bit of noise) i think i almost cried even.. hmm but after that i continued to play and then faith and her sis came in.. so after playing a while more i decided that i was "content" and proceeded to practice for worship with the rest outside.
so after ppl started to stream in we finally started ichthus. started off with the icebreakers, then the Kampong Hunt, followed by refreshments (which kegan's aunts kindly provided. thanks!!), worship, sharing by Eng Kiat, and finally prize giving.
the icebreakers and Kampong Hunt were a bit disorganised i must say.. actually, i think the whole event could use a lot more organisation. we shot overtime actually. ah yes.. worship. all in all, i think it was quite good, just that we were a bit stiff and couldn't really connect with the congregation.. but other than that it was quite ok.. heard alot of comments that jina was too soft though.. haha, and even my singing was ok! yay! Praise God! :D
however the turn-out was quite disappointing. you could even call it pathetic. it was, like brian said - sad. it seems that the number of ppl coming for every ichthus decreases with time. but i know we shouldn't be discouraged. i mean, all this happens for a reason right? and maybe this has happened to strengthen us and help us learn from our mistakes. like, every ichthus has its good points and bad points. maybe we should collate all the good points, and make them even better, and then we could gather all the not-so-good points, and work on those too... this is the 3rd ichthus already.. i really hope that more ppl will be interested to come for youth events such as this. like, sometimes its always the same old ppl coming for these stuff, and i guess we need to find ways to reach out to those who feel left out or feel like they don't fit in..
anyway, after ichthus a whole group of us went to BK at tekka mall for dinner.. and some of us (namely the worship team + sab and rachel) were sitting at one table and we were all just talking.. until the BK ppl were closing up.. hahaha..
but somehow, after ichthus, i realised when i was at BK - that i was really tired. both physically and mentally. it was like, i was thinking to myself: "i really don't want to organise the next ichthus no matter what" .. i guess everyone's quite burned out. i know i am.
today i was feeling tired too. i couldn't get up on time (luckily my mum drove us there) and i was just lying in bed too lazy to go to church. but in the end i did of course.. and then faith and i didn't go for lg (for her because of *ahem*.. me because i was really quite tired and couldn't be bothered to have a lesson anymore.. but still, i felt bad for skipping class. sorry!) so then i went for service.. and then ichthus debrief cum newsletter comm meeting.
everything said during the meeting was quite.. hmm how do i say.. different from usual meetings.. and it was more serious and intense.. that's how i felt. but overall it was quite ok.
after that went home (partly cos i was so tired and partly cos i have ALOT of unfinished work to do) and so here i am.. (yay! i managed to do ....... 1 zhou ji today!!)
ok it's 1:08 already. shall update tmr. i think..

Pracs, wires, amps, recordings, MUSIC!
got up at 11 plus today.. did some physics qns and then got ready to go to church for worship prac. reached there a bit late, but i brought cake to make up for it! :) (i baked cocoa cake for everyone) so then we went to buy stuff for ichthus, and then came back for prac. took quite long to set up actually.. man our space looks like a battlefield. seriously. no, actually it's a minefield. if anyone trips over the gazillions of wires, wah then we're all dead meat man.. ok so then we started.. lihui's sick so she can't sing tmr.. so we decided that i'll sing for the first 3 songs, then jina harmonise, then randall sing the rest of the songs (cos they're piano songs) and jina harmonise. it's quite difficult to play while singing at the same time, but luckily the songs that i'm singing aren't piano songs, and i'm just singing the melody, so it's not that bad. phew. hope i don't go out of tune tmr though.
randall brought some recording equipment so we recorded a few songs! 3 actually but we wanted to do more but we couldn't cos it was too late............... :( the songs were: Spirit Touch Your Church, Lift Up Your Eyes and My Redeemer Lives. all nice songs! :D My Redeemer Lives was the best recording.. i like! :D we SO have to find one day to record as MANY songs as we can!!
so after prac we walked to PS for dinner.. settled down at Yoshi. then walked around a bit.. and we took neos! hahaha, dead bird! :D
AHHH! ICHTHUS is TOMORROW! no, actually TODAY. (cos it's alrd 12:25 am) ahhh... man i'm nervous about the singing. not the piano, the SINGING! i really hope i don't go off... and i just pray really hard that everything goes well tomorrow.. good weather, many many people, and most of all, a really fun-filled day and fulfilling experience!
oh wells, better get some rest now.. gotta be awake for the big day tmr! (no actually, today.)

pools, afternoon flights, sweet yet painful goodbyes
haven't posted in a few days alrd.. shall do so now.. :D
my dad flew to the US today.. actually in the morning, we (my mum, sisters and i) got together an impromptu surprise for him.. as a Fathers' Day (since he'll be away during then) cum going-away present. you see, it started off in the morning when meg came out of the room with digi cam in hand.. and we realised that she had actually recorded something. a video. on her own. and so all of us gathered round to view her video. (actually she did 3) and it was so cute la! its like, she set one of her soft toys on the pillow (i suppose as a stage or something) and she recorded that, while singing a song with the "voice" of the toy! so she's like "Hi! I'm Bunny, and i'm going to sing you a song today etc." haha! and at the end she did a shot of herself saying "and THAT is the end of Bunny's singing. Thank You." hahahahaha! oh wells so then we decided to record something like that for my dad. this time there were 2 soft toys, with meg singing and abbie hiding behind them as the "choreographer", making the toys move along to the singing.. lol.. and char was the camera-woman and mum was the director. i was the producer, dowloading and compiling everything into the com. haha. so cool. oh yea and we had a Blooper Reel too. man it was SO funny we couldn't stop laughing! haha.. yea, but my dad sisn't have a chance to see the whole thing cos he had to rush off for his flight, [:(] which was in the afternoon. oh and coincidentally, the team led by rev chiang (going for the israel study trip) flew off today. in the afternoon. too. cool. i'm very sure my dad and them were in the airport at the same time. oh and i got a call goodbye from one of those going for the israel trip, and discovered something really cool. i mean, WAY cool. the coolest thing ever la. (and its not that my dad and the team met at the airport)
so anyway, at around 5+ i went swimming with my sisters.. man, i haven't swum in ages la. like, a few months? haha.. yea but i was quite lazy la.. but we had a fair amount of fun.. haha maybe i should post a pic here..

there. actually there are some with abbie in them too.. but this one's funny. haha..
oh yea, i've been working on a song these couple of days. i managed to record it on the digi cam (video mode).. i like the chorus and the bridge.. i'll post the lyrics here..
I Want To Be
a song for God - by Elizabeth Tay
Verse 1:
Your face shines like the morning
A radiant and glorious sight
Your word spreads through the nations
And guides me through the night
Verse 2:
Your eyes skim o'er the lands
And You miss not a single cry
Of help and need and longing
Lord, it is You we all live by
Chorus:
I want to be a reflection of You
I want to be holy like You
I want to go, the trip to heaven
I want to taste, Your breath of life
I want to hear, Your call to send me
I want to see Your wondrous face
I want to know, Your will for me Lord
O Lord
My God
Bridge:
What can compare
What can compare
What can compare
What can compare
(repeat)
To Your endless love
if anyone wants to hear the recording, just catch me online or something and maybe i can send it to you.. :) i must warn you though that the singing is a bit horrendous and the cam makes my piano sound like a guitar. -.- .. but anyway, it was thanks to God that i composed this song, and He's my inspiration. oh wells, better go now. God Bless! Praise God!

rock colouring frenzy..
yesterday after collecting my new specs (they're much sharper and it kinda feels lopsided actually) i went for tuition and then worship prac at church. i realised then that everyone was waiting for me because brian (our rhythm guitarist) couldn't make it and so they had no music except for uh, bass and drums? (which, if you ask me, isn't very enough to practice with) sorry to have kept everyone waiting!! (i was like, 1 hour and 20 mins late due to my tuition) but anw prac was quite ok.. although i messed up quite a bit due to the key changes and stuff.. hopefully i'll practice it at home.. (usually i don't.. :P) then after that went out to celebrate my grandma's birthday.. :D
today it was raining in the morning, so i waited for my grandma to get ready before taking a cab down to church along with my dad's classical guitar (which boss borrowed for lg) uncle patrick taught today.. the lesson was quite ok.. it was about our story. as in our spiritual story.. our testimony.. oh and gave out the indemnity forms for ichthus 3.. hope more ppl come this time! service was quite good.. the sermon too.. i almost went up to give a testimony about my fever.. but in the end i didn't.. i guess it was too impromptu.. didn't really prepare anything as well..
oh wells then after service (and a mighty lot of waiting) we had a meeting over lunch regarding ichthus 3. those present were ek, lion, randall, kegan, sab, shereen and me. after that, with the exception of ek and sab, the rest of us went to ps and wandered like lost sheep for awhile, and then we decided to watch a movie. Mr and Mrs Smith. so while waiting for the movie to start, we went to yamaha and tried out the keyboards.. haha.. then lion had to leave.. and then after that we went to the cinema for the movie. it was soso i guess.. we got front row seats so we decided to lie down on the floor to watch the movie.. after that i headed home..
oh, just in case you're wondering abt the title of this entry, my family's been on a rock colouring spree.. its like, my mum and sis went to *ahem* "steal" some rocks from macs at KAP.. u know, those dark grey pebbles they use for deco.. yea and then we bake the rocks in the oven for 2 hours at 230 deg and after that when they come straight out of the oven we hurriedly colour them with wax crayons. and so due to the immense heat of the rocks, the wax melts.. its super cool la.. i've done more than 5.. :D
ok i've gtg now.. my mum's chasing me! and i've gotta leave my house at 8 for ch project meeting! God Bless!
today it was raining in the morning, so i waited for my grandma to get ready before taking a cab down to church along with my dad's classical guitar (which boss borrowed for lg) uncle patrick taught today.. the lesson was quite ok.. it was about our story. as in our spiritual story.. our testimony.. oh and gave out the indemnity forms for ichthus 3.. hope more ppl come this time! service was quite good.. the sermon too.. i almost went up to give a testimony about my fever.. but in the end i didn't.. i guess it was too impromptu.. didn't really prepare anything as well..
oh wells then after service (and a mighty lot of waiting) we had a meeting over lunch regarding ichthus 3. those present were ek, lion, randall, kegan, sab, shereen and me. after that, with the exception of ek and sab, the rest of us went to ps and wandered like lost sheep for awhile, and then we decided to watch a movie.

ICE SKATING ROCKS!!!
yes as you can see from the title, ICE SKATING ROCKS. but that i shall go into detail later.
yesterday went to NUH again for CIP.. we made bookmarks for the kids.. and it was ok.. oh, and the night before, i had a pretty bad stomach ache in the middle of the night.. woke me up.. then the next morning i still had the stomach ache, and i was feeling nauseous as well.. so after CIP my parents picked me up and in the car i was feeling WAY sick.. turned out i developed a fever..i just wanted to get home asap.. so when i got home, took some horrible, and i mean horrible, tasting medicine, and then i went to sleep.. when i got up, i felt a bit better.. so i ate a teeny bit for dinner, bathed, and then went to bed again.. man i was so scared that i wouldn't be well enough to skate the next day.. cos even standing up and sitting down was becoming a problem.. my head throbbed like mad each time.. and i didn't want the outing to be called off either, just because of this.. i mean, everyone (ok at least boss and i) was so looking forward to it.. and i really really didn't want to call it off. i really wanted to go!!
so i got up this morning.. hoping like mad that i was well enough.. i got up, walked around a bit - eh? no throbbing! fever was down too.. so, yay! praise God! thank you God!!! prayer really works wonders man.. thanks for all those who prayed for me! :)
so today everyone gathered at jurong east, and after a bit of complications, we finally managed to settle down at the ice skating rink. there was me, faith, randall, kegan, wallace, lihui, jina and jina's sis. 8 people in total. well, all in all, it was A-LOT of fun, although wallace, jina, her sis and lihui left earlier.. we took really niceeeee pics too! there's this one that i call "Talk to the Hand".. :D
so we skated about 5 hours.. 3:05 till 8:30 i think.. haha yup then faith and i bought matching bags at this stall below! mine's blue and hers is pink! :D so after that my parents picked me up, and then we came home..
but i really thank God.. His grace is so.. abounding and just so - great and miraculous! besides aome stomach aches here and there, i didn't feel unwell at all! (well just maybe that my feet hurt alot)
ok.. i think i'd better stop here.. it's 12:38.. prac tmr! and i'm gonna collect my new specs!! God Bless everyone! :D

east coast park/beach crazy!
yes as you can see from the title, our family has gone east coast park crazy. for the last 2 days (monday and tuesday), we have gone to the east coast park, played the day away, and then retire to the east coast lagoon food village for dinner. yes. two days in a row. and fyi we don't live very near east coast. oh, only at uh, upper bukit timah..
on monday we reached east coast park at around 3 plus.. and then my sisters played in the sand (they built a huge sand turtle i think) and flew kites with my dad.. i, on the other hand, lazed around under the small little shelter thingy enjoying the wonderful sea breeze, which, as i explained to my mother, is due to the fact that the land heats up and cools down slower than the sea, and so in the day, the land heats up more quickly than the sea, creating an area of lower pressure... - ok. i shall not bore you with the drone of geography anymore. anyway, yes so with the exception of a few minutes of holding on to the kite string and staring up into the sky, i just lazed around reading my book, munching on nuts.. haha sorry! i wasn't exactly feeling very active... i woke up at noon! so after that we had an early dinner at the hawker centre there.. East Coast Lagoon Food Village.. nice name huh.. the food's quite good too.. and we sat at the part where the floor is sand instead of cement/tiles/what not.. cool huh.. yup so after that we went to Popular and raided the shop! cos my mum had a 20% discount voucher.. hehe.. i bought zig markers and a new sketch book + some other stuff.. :D
then today we went to east coast yet again. this time we reached there at around 6.. (don't ask me why) and we cycled and rollerbladed (i just cycled.. char was the only one rollerblading.. and lucky her - she found bird sh** on her shirt after that! hahahaha) and then after that went to eat at the same place again.. man this time i really ate until i couldn't eat anymore.. haha..
so anyway before going to east coast i had CIP at NUH today.. there were 6 of us - me, mich, nat, amanda goh, rachel tay and oriana.. mich nat and i went to the wards, while the other 3 went to the clinic.. it was quite ok actually.. there were these 4 brothers who were all warded in together.. the 2 younger ones were so cute! although they kept on fighting over markers and stuff.. and the 2nd youngest one was really attracted to scissors and glue.. pouring out the bottle of white glue into the bottle caps.. and then there was this girl called shermaine who actually smelled of medicated oil.. and then another boy who i didn't really get to talk to.. so we did origami, some craftwork.. nat and mich made paper cranes and gave them to the other children in the ward.. they also played some board games we brought down from the room.. and a bit of colouring.. all in all, it was a pretty good experience.. i'm going again on thursday.. however we only did 2 hours today when we were actually supposed to do 3.. oh yea.. then after that in the car i felt kinda sick.. a bit nauseous and my head hurt.. man, i think being at the hospital makes me sick!
anyway after that i went to make new specs! i wanted to try something different, so i chose these small rectangular shaped lenses.. i hope they aren't too small.. the whole frame i mean.. hmm but the colour's nice! :D my degree went up quite a bit though.. but i can't remember by how much.. man i'm forever forgetting my degree.. somehow numbers and me don't really click.. birthdays included. haha.
oh wells, i guess i'd better go now.. still thinking of what to use for QT.. okok mum's chasing.. byes!

sunday, sunday.. :)
there's much to be blogged, so i hope you don't mind the long entry.. :)
i'll start off with friday.. after i finished blogging, i wanted to go to the library, as mentioned in my earlier post. and because i didn't want to go alone, i tried getting char to go with me.. after wasting my breath for like, 5 hours (ok no la.. just an exaggeration) i decided to try abbie.. and after another 3 hours (exaggeration again, but nonetheless still alot of time) and finally someone agreed to come with me.. with the exception of meg who was, all the while, standing at the side going "I WANT TO GO! I WANT TO GO! BRING ME! BRING ME!!!" but of course i was reluctant.. i mean, handling a 6 yr old girl isn't really an easy task, let alone bringing her out without her mum..ok so anw in the end i brought both abbie and meg to the jurong east library.. and then we went to IMM.. and i bought new earrings! wore them to church today.. they're a bit too long though.. yup so after that my dad fetched us home and we got back at 8 or 9 +.. :P
ah yes and then there was saturday.. went to taka with char to buy something and then met randall at PS to buy da ge's bday prezzie - guitar strap! then after boarding the wrong bus we finally got to church.. we were a bit late.. hehe.. everyone was there already.. but anyway practice went quite well.. finally, a full band practice! although we do need another prac since it was only faith's first prac with us.. then we played on the grand piano!! yes.. man i can't wait to play on it again..
then we proceeded to the lg 5 bbq.. didn't stay for very long.. but it was quite ok.. and then gave everyone a ride home..
then came along sunday (today).. oh yes, i stayed up till 1:30 making the bag for da ge's present (cos we got home so late) and i was lying in bed when i suddenly remembered - we'd totally forgotten about Words of the Week! (every week we'll write a verse/quote on the whiteboard of every lg) and so i msg-ed my boss at 2 am to remind him about it.. and since it was my turn to come up with the verse/quote i woke up extra early to print out the 7 pages of quotes i'd raided from the daily bread.
when i reached church, boss and i wrote the quote that i'd chosen on the whiteboards.. and then jammed and got da ge's strap signed.. we didn't go for lg in the end.. stayed in the very empty lg 5 and did maths.. haha.. then we jammed some more and then went down for service.
worship today was good.. oh and then was the ichthus advert! man i was SOOOO nervous before i went up.. but while rev chiang was making the announcements randall and i just prayed.. for God to calm our hearts down.. and it really worked.. i wasn't as nervous when we went up.. oh but the video lagged though.. the sound was slower than the visual.. so don't think the congregation could really get it.. but luckily we were able to clarify later when we went up to make the "speech".. hope this gets more ppl to come!! wow my first time facing the whole congregation.. it wasn't that bad after all.. :) oh yea.. and just to clarify, i am elizabeth TAY not elizabeth TAN!!! man i can't believe rev chiang actually made that mistake.
ok so after service the supposedly newsletter meeting transformed into a saltshakers meeting.. well, part of the saltshakers anyway. and so we went to BK at tekka mall and then to the super market - paradise! and after that the four of us - randall, jon, kegan and i, went to PS to catch Madagascar! haha very funny.. so anw after that walked ard, and then my parents came to pick me up for dinner..
ok sorry i've gotten lazy to blog.. ahh i think i'd better go off now.. i only slept 5 hours yesterday.. luckily nothing planned for tmr.. so can sleep in! :D

hmm is that all? i hope so.. i seriously need to plan out my holidays man.. so far its basically crammed with homework and ichthus 3 pracs.. then some appointments here and there.. oh and 2 days of CIP at the hospital next week.. may be going out after that but we'll see. hmm i think i'll be going to the library later to return my books. and urgh. we have to do this Readers Proficiency Badge for Guides.. and we have to read 6 books! goodness and they're about topics like History, Travel, Science etc. B.O.R.I.N.G.
YAY! we're FINALLY having our Ao1 family outing next friday.. ice skating rendezvous!! whoo hoo! everyone can make it except boon, who'll be on holiday.. :( once again an incomplete family meeting.. i tell you, we have NEVER taken a complete family picture since we were formed.. let alone an outing.. oh wells, it should be lots of fun.. man i can't wait! :D
i'm forever reminding everyone about the ichthus 3 practices.. i feel so naggy.. but oh wells, no harm reminding them right.. in case they forget or something.. just that my phone bill goes up a notch.. :P haha but its comforting to recieve thanks from the team.. luv ya ppl!
had chem lessons today and yesterday.. mrs low went SOOO fast.. like.. shooooom! i couldn't keep up! seriously man. but today was a bit better.. could do the ionic equations and stuff..
oh yea.. wednesday was the World Bank seminar at ACJC.. it was quite ok.. just that the first part was actually quite boring.. everyone was sitting in this HUGE lecture theatre and we had dunno how many talks for like, 2 hours.. oh, and the theme was Working for a World Free of Poverty. and we got nice goodies.. :P after the talks was lunch, and then we were split into our respective groups.. asyikin and i signed up for Youth Activism and Global Citizenry.. but to our utter horror we were split into 6A (me) and 6B (asyikin)! so we were in different groups.. :( the host of our group was called melissa.. she's of mixed parentage.. jap and indonesian.. and she studied in America.. she was really, well, weird but yet funny at the same time.. i think she freaked out the ppl sitting beside her at a few points.. well, most of the ppl in the group didn't know each other, so that was quite comforting.. we got to discuss stuff and had some interaction.. and at the end i exchanged contacts with 2 girls beside me..
hmm one thing i remembered most about the seminar was that melissa actually asked us to think about what we would say about ourselves at our own funeral.. and i was just thinking and scribbling what i would say.. and interestingly enough, my first thoughts were about God.. i would want to be remembered as someone who had the passion for Christ, a servant of the Lord.. of course there were many other interesting stuff we did but i won't go into detail about that..
well, i guess i should be going now.. off to the library! :D
i took a grand total of 29 minutes to write this.
oh wells but that was so random.
it must be the heat.
