i feel weird - i feel really weird.. there's just this rush of emotions flowing through me.. i'm scared, nervous, anxious, troubled, worried, but yet excited and happy all at e same time..
most troubling is school, of course.. i have geog and physics test next wk and lit test tmr... although these may seem like small, trivial matters, it really gets to me sometimes. the fear of failing, of not doing well, it just frightens me.. i have high expectations of myself, and i'm scared of not meeting them. i failed my last lit test. can u believe it? so i'm really worried for tmr's one. but i need to trust in god and have faith in him that he'll help me to pull through and do well. i just look forward to everything being over. tests, i mean. school can sometimes get so stressful, and at times i wonder to myself, what's the purpose of living? sometimes i get really tired. tired of school, tired of life, tired of everything. but i tell myself, that my purpose on this world is to serve god. to serve him and to do his will. i have to persevere, and hold on to his word.
i look forward to every sunday, when i go to church. to worship him, to learn more about him. it's what gets me going. i have something to look forward to. god is my refuge, he's my strength, he's my fortress, he's my shelter in the time of storm, he's my father, he's my king, he's my friend, he's whom i live for, he's the only one i need. without him, i don't know what i would do. oh my gosh, i can't believe i'm starting to cry.. but thats ok, cos god will pick us up. he'll help us to pull ourselves together and he'll guide us through our long journey of life. i need god like i need air. he's the reason we're all here. he's the reason we live. he completes us.

i know this entry may be quite different compared to all my others, but i was inspired by god to write this, at the time when i feel low and blue. i write this not just to encourage you, but myself as well. i reassure myself that god is here for us, no matter when, no matter where, no matter what.

busy weekend!
hey ppl... its a busy weekend! i have 4 maths worksheets, 2 zhou ji and 2 tests on monday.. bio and h. ch.. sighz.. i know i shd be studying and stuff, but..i need to destress ok.. haha.
anyway, we had e changi trip on tues.. it was quite ok la..especially e part when e tour guide was telling us bout how her dad escaped e kempetai thrice.. and took a boat to pulau ubin and swam to malaysia.. so cool! anyway, we went to changi beach.. which reminded me of obs so much! a wave of nostalgia swept over me like a five-storey tsunami, engulfing me, tempting me to dive in the shining, clear waters of the sea and swim back to pulau ubin. --what is wrong with me?? has obs nostalgia driven me mad??
wednesday was my lil sis megan's b day. we went to swensons to clelebrate.. then we had a huge cake frm bengawan solo.. it had e face of belle, u know, e disney character frm beauty and e beast.. haha, super full! i'm gonna get so fat..
thursday night was e concert all e sec 3s had to go to. i went w cao..had k for dinner..apparently jamie teo (e ms singapore universe) and zhou chong qing (e chinese dj) were sitting behind cao during e concert.. the concert was quite gd.. at least i din fall asleep!
today was e celebrations for thinking day.. so i was kept occupied at e indoor stadium frm 2 - 6! oh wellz, after that went to grand aunty amy's house for dinner... studied ch4 of chinese and played bridge! e dinner, of course, was great.. and we had 2 cakes, celebrating 3 ppl's bdays. my grand uncle, shawn and meg. one of the cakes was bought by my mum frm bread talk.. e mango wasn't very fresh though.. e other one was baked by my aunty.. peach and mango.. super nice!! i think some went for seconds. haha.
oh wellz, tmr (actually today) i'll be going to church.. don't get me wrong, i'm glad and looking forward to go to church. seriously. god is whom we live for right? :) anyways, gtg now. its really late, gotta sleep and wake up to go to church tmr!! byez!

Valentines Day
Happy Valentines Day everyone!! phew, today was a blur.. but first of all, lemmi start w what happened on saturday and sunday..
on saturday, i woke up quite late..12 something. haha. oh well, then my family was supposed to go to my dad's colleague's house (who also happens to be wallace's uncle...what a coincidence...) yup, so after a few hours at the office my dad came home to fetch all of us there. oh, but abbie (3rd sis) had tuition.. so she couldn't go. and we had to fetch her to tuition b4 going to my dad's colleague's house. yup, so we all reached there.. their house is quite nice.. although a didn't go and 'explore'.. i especially love the steps leading to e front door! anyway, i had quite a lot to eat there! haha.. they had mrs fields brownies, and i was eating like mad! haha, i've definitely gotten fatter over CNY.. oh man, as i think of it, megan (youngest sis) was so embarrassing!!! she was like, asking them abt wallace and it was a bit malu.. sighz.. 5 yr olds.. anyway, collected a few ang paos over there :) hehe.. then after my parents had enough chatting we said gdbye and left. my mum, sisters and i went to cold storage while my dad went to fetch abbie from tuition..
after a bit of grocery shopping, we went to my grandaunt's house for dinner.. with all my relatives and stuff.. haha, took a fw photos downstairs b4 going up, and cos its SUPER windy at my grandaunt's house, the wind kept messing up our hair! so we had tp keep on pausing to fix it up. haha. anyway, my grandaunt's house had fortune cookies! ah! haven't had those for a looooooong time.. was it since boston?? oh man, anyway, it really brought back alot of memories eating the cookie and pulling out the little slip of paper.. mine said "Be true towards others, it might help expand your social group." hmm, quite true.. i keep it in my wallet now. :)
so b4 dinner when everyone had arrived and dinner was still being prepared, we were all looking at old photos.. some of them had me inside! and i saw a pic of my mom when she was young! haha, everyone had a gd laugh.. it brought back alot of memories in boston.. (we sent photos to our relatives when we were in boston) man, that day was a really "memorable" day. haha. anyway, after that i played bridge with shereen, shawn and lim yang (my mum's cuz, other grandaunt's son).. after a few rounds it was dinner time already.. the food was quite gd, especially the chicken soup! after dinner, we continued playing bridge, but this time jeremy, danette and charmaine (my cousins and sister) 'joined forces' to play (beginners mah) so lim yang and shawn took turns playing while shereen and i became 'PRs'(permanant residents) at the table. haha, time passed by really quickly and b4 we knew it, it was 11 plus.. but we can play again this saturday, when we go to my other grandaunt's house for dinner! hehe.. CNY mah.. oh wells, after we said our gdbyes we fetched my grandparents home and then went back to ours!
sunday...my dad had a bad backache and couldn't really get out of bed..and he woke up late too. as a result we got to church abt 15 mins late.. class was ok.. haha, celestine and i were showing each other our peeling skin (sunburnt frm obs) my left hand is peeling quite a bit.. faith said it looks disgusting.. shawn went "eeeeeeee..." when he saw it. haha. oh no, i think e skin on my legs is starting to peel too. ah!!! church was quite ok.. kkmc rocks!!! its e best!! btw, i'm part of the organising comm for the next youth fellowship... have to think of ideas!
so anyway after church we went to raffles city for lunch.. abbie wanted to go to the pizza place.. man, don't get me started, or else i'm gonna start drooling. oh ya! i got a new book frm e mph bkstore.. it was having a sale.. e bk is written by meg cabot (author of the princess diaries) and its called 'every boy's got one'... not going to start reading it yet though.. still have a few bks that i havent read frm e library.
today's valentines day! was a bit late for school, but still managed to give out most of my valentines day presents.. i got these cards and wrote msges on them, plus wherther's original sweets (whatever they're called..) got a really cute ladybug thingy from cao (thanks!!) i squealed when i saw it. haha. also got e baby sock from jer (i went to buy them w her) the letter she wrote was so what la.. i think she was super high when she wrote it.. yup, and also got other sweets and stuff frm friends. well, tmr we're going for that changi trip thing.. hmm, dunno whether i shd look forward to it or dread it... well at least we get to miss amaths!! :)
oh ya, i almost forgot... got back quite a few tests papers last wk.. emaths, chem, chinese. emaths was ok..16/20. chem was gd.. 22/25..tied w shern for highest in class.. :D on the other hand, chinese was BAD.. for the sec 1 express, i almost failed!! but luckily i still passed by a few marks.. the reading test was a bit better..got 20.5/30...
haha, well, i'll keep you updated on everything ya? kaez, so long everyone! till then, stay close to god and never forget the wonderful things he's done for all of us...

CNY eve
today was CNY celebrations at school...sorry to say it but it was a bit boring.. phoebe and i were talking throughout the games.. haha. sigh, it was a nice chat. :)
well anyways, after e celebrations went to cold storage to buy honey glazed chicken for my mum.. had it with pasta for lunch.. so after lunch washed up a bit and went to meet jer and yun jing at bk batok mrt..jerlyn was like..15 mins late la.. even though she was the one who set the time. haha. well, then we met wei tsin at jurong east then went to jurong point to shop for presents! we walked ard alot.. i had to buy 4 presents and the 3 of them had to buy jing hui's bday prezzie...yup, so i bought a cute little soft toy penguin for my little sis (megan!)..then went to ice lemon tee and bought something for my couz (my mouth will keep shut!!!), and me and jer shared a prez for cao (i'm not gonna say what it is! keeping cao in suspense...).. after ice lemon tee we went to the basement to meet phoebe and her group of pri school friends! hehe.. jer and i kept on laughing because....*trails off*... (so sorry phoebe! if we made him upset..)
anyways, after we left phoebe we headed upstairs..and i bumped into shereen! my 'big' cousin.. haha.. she was there w her mum doing some shopping.. well after that we went upstairs again and went into the life chritstian bkstore.. was looking at the hillsongs for all you've done cd but didn't have enough cash! :( yup, so anyway, jer,wei tsin and yun jing bought a wind chime from there for jing hui.. then after that went into 77th street to buy another present for my friend..(shhh..not gonna say what it is!) so after a bit more walking ard we left jurong pt..wei and jing took a bus while jer and i took mrt back to bk batok..
we went to the library at westmall to borrow books.. on the way up while we were on the escalator, there were 4 guys in front of us and jer was like, noticing them and telling me how she didn't like those kind of guys.. and she noticed that one of the guys in blue turned ard and looked at me..then she said he spoke to his other friends and they turned ard to look too!! i mean can u believe it??? who wld wanna look at me?? and it was so intimidating and malu la!.. oh man.. anyway then we got to e library and went to choose books. and there sitting on the floor w his nose buried in a book was this guy.. looked quite nerdy. uniform was all white..then we just ignored him and continued choosing books.. however, this group of chinese high/hwa chong (whats e diff?) and some white uniformed guys came dashing towards us and one of them tripped over the 'nerd' sitting on the floor.. luckily we were standing behind him..jer thought it was an accident but it turned out that they knew each other.. seeing the group of guys coming towards us, jer motioned me to go to the next aisle, which we did..and as i was busy choosing my books, jer had, just had to notice (using her sense of hearing and sight) that the guys were jumping up and down trying to look over the aisle at us! i mean, come on! again?? i didn't really believe her.. but she said she cld see their reflection and they were trying to do that.. i cld hear them talking and they were like "not so loud la!" or "u too short la!" and stuff like that.. i cld even hear the banging of the bookshelf as they were jumping lor.. sighz and you know what the worst part is?? the worst part is they were wearing shorts... which mean they were younger than us!!! i was like : oh-my-gosh..that is totally insulting and, whatever u call it.. jer was like "do we really look that young?".. sighz..maybe i shouldn't have posted this...am i sounding a bit.. weird and not myself? argh it must be jerlyn la..go and notice so many things..
anyways, after e library we went to do some valentines day shopping..i bought these really cute cards to write msges on..yup. then after that we went home by bus.. and you thought that was all? well no siree! because when i got home, i got a call from my hp from jer.. and she was saying she saw the guy in blue and his friends who were looking at us.. or me, according to what she said..and she said he stayed like.. opposite her house or something.. which is totally a huge coincidence..sighz. and btw, we weren't even wearing going out clothes la.. we were in school u!!
chose my CNY clothes when i got back.. then bathed and went for reunion dinner at this restaurant w my family.. saved my grandma the hassle of cooking for everyone.. it was quite yummy.. :) and we couldn't finish all the chicken! sighz.. quite full now.. and its gotten really late.. according to my hp its 11:55! 5 more minutes till CNY!!! happy CNY in advance everybody!!! ok..gotta get my much needed rest now.. tmr will be photo taking day for my family! haha, stay at home, dress up, takephotos and hang ard at home all day, waiting for ppl to come and visit us.. haha, it sounds kinda silly actually.. dressing up until so nice and staying at home not going out. oh wellz, gotta wash up, do my QT and SLEEP!!! nitez!

OBS
hey! i'm back from obs! i miss obs so much!!! I MISS OBS!! I MISS ARMSTRONG!! I MISS LUH LUH!! I MISS BOBBY!! I MISS EVERYTHING!!
my watch was armstrong.. the arm very the strong one..
haha, anyway, our instructor was hiap luh..we called him luh luh! :) he was SO nice..and we had quite a strong bond with him. our mascot was luh luh's soft toy bird and we named him bobby!
day 1:
we had our 1st kayaking lesson, did capsising drill and everything..
pitched tents, cooked dinner etc.
day 2:
learned how to belay
rockclimbed.. i did ok..
flying fox - it was quite scary when u were on top, but it was quite fun and thrilling. the scenery was great too! it was a few stories..climbing up the ladder was torturous..
cooked dinner, washed up after dinner..and THAT was the night when i got REALLY HIGH.. we were washing all the mess tins and the pots and stuff at the washing place.. and feimao (amanda tan) and a few of us were doing it..and cos we didnt have e green wool to scrub, my friends started scrubbing e pots w their finger nail and the utensils and then feimao, shern and i really cracked up as feimao started to entertain us w all her comments..tt ranged from nails to lotr to 'luh' squared and other stuff that i won't have time to mention! oh my gosh, i'm cracking up already..that night i was laughing so hard i had to squat down on the floor and couldn't walk straight! lol..

about 2 km before we reached the other campsite, i got sea sick and puked into the sea..haha, a bit only la, don't worry.
reached the other campsite at abt 2:40 p.m. whoo hoo!! go ARMSTRONG! haha, we got there so fast cos our ARM very the STRONG hor..
pitched our tents
floated in the quarry!!! that was really fun..it was a quarry of fresh water and that was our 'bath' for e day.
haha. there weren't any toilets, so we had to 'relieve' ourselves wearing the stupid yellow poncho behind the big rock!
day 4:
went to the quarry again and built rafts..ours was able to float in the water although practically half (2) of our barrels floated off, one of them, of course was caused to float away by luh luh..
trekked back to the campsite..left at about 4:15..kept on changing our bags on the way to distribute the weight..reached the campsite at about 5 or 6 something..can't really remember. it was quite ok la. less tiring than kayaking.
had dinner with luh luh.. i cooked the rice!! everyone was really high!
day 5:
unpitched tents and stuff
cleared the store..was outside eating assorted NUTS when i went NUTS...the lame armstrong cheer la..
everyone shared their own feelings and gave out the certificates.. thats when everyone cried.. tears welled up in my eyes too..s
ouvenier shopping! bought 2 shirts and a black bottle..got a free obs poster.
reached back to school..
had some food to eat, then took taxi back home w phoebe.. while we were walking out of school, i really started to cry. i just burst into tears! i had to stop and put my bag down for awhile.. cried halfway down the hill..
i really missed everything at obs! when i dropped off at the overhead bridge at my house, it instantly started to rain.. so lucky and so unlucky at the same time! lucky cos it hadn't rained at obs at all, and the day when we came back was the day it rained. unlucky cos i had to walk back in the rain la, and i got soaked..and my certificate got wet and crumpled..which is NOT a gd thing.. so i got a bit chao ta..listen to this- my right hand is darker than my left hand, my hands are darker than my arms, my lower arms are darker than my upper arms, and i have a stupid white watch mark on my left wrist! so anyways, obs was the most funnest, inspiringest, memorablest, bestest bestest camp i've been to!!! i wanna go back to obs again! oh wellz, if i have the chance to, then great! till then, byez!
my watch was armstrong.. the arm very the strong one..
haha, anyway, our instructor was hiap luh..we called him luh luh! :) he was SO nice..and we had quite a strong bond with him. our mascot was luh luh's soft toy bird and we named him bobby!
day 1:
we had our 1st kayaking lesson, did capsising drill and everything..
pitched tents, cooked dinner etc.
day 2:
learned how to belay
rockclimbed.. i did ok..
flying fox - it was quite scary when u were on top, but it was quite fun and thrilling. the scenery was great too! it was a few stories..climbing up the ladder was torturous..
cooked dinner, washed up after dinner..and THAT was the night when i got REALLY HIGH.. we were washing all the mess tins and the pots and stuff at the washing place.. and feimao (amanda tan) and a few of us were doing it..and cos we didnt have e green wool to scrub, my friends started scrubbing e pots w their finger nail and the utensils and then feimao, shern and i really cracked up as feimao started to entertain us w all her comments..tt ranged from nails to lotr to 'luh' squared and other stuff that i won't have time to mention! oh my gosh, i'm cracking up already..that night i was laughing so hard i had to squat down on the floor and couldn't walk straight! lol..

day 3:
